This is a very convenient, accessible and scenic stop right off the highway! Per their website, this “5 acre park located directly south of the elementary school at the intersection of Highway 9 and Hamilton Creek Road. It is a unique mountain wetland and pond area and is home to nesting osprey and quality fishing. A small enclosed pavilion can be used for year round events or as a warming hut in the winter. When conditions allow, ice skating is available on the pond. Other amenities include a picnic shelter, restrooms, 2 docks, a short walking trail, gas fire pit, and picnic area.” Of note, fishing is catch and release only.
